Born in Houston, Texas, Althea grew up around graphic arts as her father was a commercial artist for Shell and a print shop business owner. Althea was recognized from an early age for her artistic abilities from Design Student of the year at The University of Texas in Austin to winning multiple awards throughout her career.
As a mother of two children, Althea spends whatever spare time she has donating her work to the local schools and church and enjoys refueling her creativity through globetrotting.
